5+ Things Around the House to Sell for Quick Cash
Looking to raise some quick cash? There are gems lying around your house unused or unwanted that are right under your nose. You can sell things around your home in person or online for cash ASAP. Read on to learn 20 things around the house to sell for fast cash.
1.) Small Appliances
Those appliances that were gifted to you that you never opened or never use. Sell em’. Here are some examples:
- Coffee and/or espresso maker
- Waffle maker
- Panini press
- Can opener
- Indoor grill
I have a bunch of these around my home. People gift things that they want themselves, did you know that? I have an icecream maker (unwanted) and a coffee/espresso maker (wrong model than what I asked for) sitting in boxes in my kitchen. Those can easily sell online on a site like eBay lightning quick. Makes you think, huh?
2.) Old Clothes
Or, in my case, new clothes. Do you ever go online shopping, then something doesn’t fit or work well for you and you DON’T RETURN IT? That’s me. It’s usually the fit issue and I think, “oh I will return this.” But, never do. This results in a closet full of new, in tag clothes that go unworn.
Perfect for selling! Go through those closets and find clothes you don’t wear anymore, never returned, were gifted and don’t wear, etc. Then, sell them.
3.) Your kids stuff
This is stuff that is outgrown, unused, new in box and never used, etc. Here are some examples:
- Extra stuff from your baby shower
Clothes are definitely a common one here. Kids are growing and need new clothes. Don’t miss out on this.
Electronics are getting newer, more high tech and smaller every single year. Take your old unused tablets, cell phone, etc. and sell those babies. There are some cool online resources to explore to sell your goods:
5.) Regifted stuff
You ever receive a gift that you will never use and have never used. You end up regifting to someone else. Take those goods and sell them! That is all.
Those old tshirts or hand me downs from your grandma? They’re vintage. Pop those onto eBay and watch them sell like hotcakes. Some other examples of vintage items around your house:
- Lamps and other home decor
First things first. Go around your house and do an inventory to see what’s available and what’s worth selling. Put it in a pile. Then, organize it, price it, list it for sale Good luck!
